My Mission

At Cuerny Kids, my goal is to create a nurturing and loving environment where your child can grow and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them. I design weekly lesson plans centered around engaging themes, incorporating activities that promote learning in areas such as art, music, sensory exploration, motor skills (both gross and fine), and free play. I place great emphasis on life skills, encouraging independence while providing the necessary support to help each child confidently take on new challenges.

About the Owner

Hi, I’m Durann Cree, the owner of Cuerny Kids LLC. After growing up in Cuernavaca, I’m thrilled to have returned to this wonderful neighborhood in December of 2021 with my husband, Matt. It brings me so much joy to be back in my favorite community in Austin and to give back by offering a loving, safe, and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.

I have a deep passion for early childhood development and have been working in the field for over 11 years. Recently, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Growing up, my mother ran successful in-home childcare facilities for 29 years, and I had the privilege of learning firsthand how to create a fun, safe, and effective environment where children can explore their personalities, skills, and creativity. In addition to my extensive in-home experience, I’ve also worked for two years as a lead teacher for 2-3-year-olds in a commercial setting.

I absolutely love what I do and feel incredibly fortunate to have such a rewarding and fulfilling career!
